Yummy to eat, kids love it and it looks so cool and interesting.

Banana Chocolate Roll is one of my kiddos favorite sweets. She loves how bananas remind her of eyes every time I cut the piece of this roll cake.

Here is an easy recipe that you’ll love and your family too. Perfect for holidays and gatherings, or well for every day!!!

Banana Chocolate Roll

Ingredients:

For the Roll:

5 eggs

5 tablespoons sugar

2 tablespoons flour

1 teaspoon cocoa

1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 lemon peel

For the Fill:

3 eggs

200 g. sugar
 
100 g. chocolate
 
200 g. butter or margarine

4 bananas

Directions:

In a mixing bowl combine 5 eggs, sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder and peel of lemon. Mix well.

Preheat oven to 350F, pour mixture in a baking pan (lightly spray pan with cooking oil), and bake crust for about 12 to 15 minutes. When done take out of the oven place crust on the damp cloth and roll on both sides. Let cool.

Meanwhile, steam beat 3 eggs and sugar for the fill till it becomes thick. Melt chocolate in the microwave and add it to the egg mixture. This will thin the mixture a little. Let it cool completely.

When your chocolate fill is cooled, add softened butter. Mix well.

Now take your crust and leave it on the same cloth, open it and spread fill evenly throughout the crust. Leave a little fill to have for the top of the roll.

Take 4 bananas and place them in the middle of the roll, two in a row (so when you cut the roll it looks like eyes). Roll the cake. Place it on a serving plate and spread the remaining fill on the top, and where the roll is closing together (this will prevent the roll from opening).

Note: To prevent bananas from turning dark and to keep them yellow and fresh, when you place them in the roll lightly sprinkle them with a little lemon juice. This will keep them yellow and good throughout.
